What to wear
Here’s a link to my pinterest board for inspo. You can be as covered or as uncovered as you are comfortable with. Two outfits max for mini sessions as I would rather be spending time shooting than you changing.
How to prepare
The week of, drink plenty of water and try to avoid junk food/dairy/ anything that would cause bloating. Refrain from getting a spray tan. I know, you want that color, but embrace the skin you are in because its beautiful as is! Spray tans can make you look orange in the photos and often make your hands/feet look discolored. Wear comfortable fitting under garments the day of the shoot to avoid bra and panty lines. Stretch! Boudoir sessions are basically a sexy yoga class. Your body will be pushed into different shapes to showcase all those beautiful curves you have. Stretching beforehand can help get you into positions easier and help you not be so sore after!
Arrival
Hair + Makeup
Be Timely
Accessories
When you arrive you will go to the bridal suite to change into your first outfit. My assistant will help you everything. If you have time feel free to touch up hair and makeup as needed. You may come across other girls along the way. Bring a robe so you can wear it around while you are waiting your turn and to go from building to building. If you are bringing any props or a second outfit, bring a bag with you to the shooting location (the main building).
If you are having your hair and makeup done, be sure to allow for plenty of time before your session. HMU often runs late, and I really don’t want that to cut into your session time! Give yourself at least an hour extra. If you are doing your own hair and makeup, remember make up photographs about 4x lighter. Don’t forget about your nails! You don’t have to have them professionally done, but they should be all painted or all natural. No chippy nails please!
Please arrive to the venue with plenty of time to change and do whatever prepping you need to do.
Feel free to bring accessories like hats, jackets, jewelry, shoes, your mans tie, etc. I will have a sheet and blankets for you to wrap up in but I obviously won’t have time to wash them in between clients. If that makes you uncomfortable please bring your own.
